On 2-3 September the expert group of BEATA working on the “Joint transport plan for the Barents region” convened in Helsinki. The meeting was hosted by the NDPTL Secretariat.
This meeting was the last one held under the chairmanship of Norway and aimed to prepare the final draft of the “Joint Transport Plan for the Barents Region” to be presented to the BEATA Ministers on the ministerial meeting on 23-24 September in Narvik, Norway.
The Plan addresses common problems and challenges in the field of transport and logistics in the Barents region.
During the coming two years BEATA co-operation will be chaired by Finland.
