The second meeting of the Assembly of Donors of the NDPTL Support Fund convened in Helsinki on 18 June 2014
This time the donors allocated in total EUR 610 000. Three projects received support in order to strengthen the transport connections in the Northern Dimension region:
• Study “Elimination of Obstacles for Intermodal Transportation in Transit through Poland, Lithuania and Belarus”;
• Preliminary feasibility study “Extension of Deep-Water Container Terminal in Gdansk”;
• Study “New Terminals in Umeå and Vaasa Ports”.
The NDPTL Support Fund is to support the projects improving major connections in the ND region and to accelerate implementation of the projects of regional interest. The Fund is to finance mainly studies bringing the projects closer to “bankability”, developing them to the level where it will be possible to search financing for their implementation. The selected projects meet in the best possible way the agreed eligibility criteria serving the most important objectives of the Partnership.
