Delegations from the NDPTL partner countries represented by the high officials participated in the NDPTL High Level meeting organised by the Transport Ministry of the Russian Federation within the framework of Transport Week 2011 on 23 November 2011, in Moscow.
The Chair of the NDPTL Steering Committee reported on the partnership’s achievements of the year, emphasising the importance of the organisation in developing a transport network in the Northern Dimension Region, strengthening the connections with the neighbouring regions and preparing for the increasing transport operations.
The High Level Meeting welcomed the European Commission’s proposal to use the information system, TENtec, which stores and manages technical and financial data of the Trans European Transport Network, for NDPTL purposes as well. It also considered the establishment of the NDPTL Support Fund to be a boost to the partnership’s activities.
